MONGLA : Cargo loading, unloading, and transportation activities at Mongla Port have returned to normal after a spell of bad weather caused by Cyclone Dana. Commander Saifur Rahman Bhuiyan, the harbour master of the Mongla Port Authority, confirmed the matter on Friday.

The hazards over the coastal region of the Sundarbans have temporarily decreased since Cyclone Dana hit Odisha, India.

The people of Mongla, which is close to the coast of the Sundarbans, exhaled in relief since they were no longer afraid.

There has been no wind or rain and clear skies above Mongla Port and the nearby coastline. Nonetheless, local cautious signal number three is still in effect at the Mongla harbor.

The meteorological office, meanwhile, warned that the weather could change throughout the day and that rain might fall over the Mongla coast for another day or two.
