GOA : FEDERATION OF FREIGHT FORWARDERS’ ASSOCIATIONS IN INDIA held two more insightful and globally focused sessions on Day 2 at the FFFAI 25th Biennial Convention in Goa.
Session 5: A New Era in Logistics – India and the World

Dr. Joshua Ebenezer moderated the session, steering engaging conversations on how global trends, partnerships, and emerging technologies are redefining the logistics landscape.
Shri Sumit Giri, from the Ministry of Revenue, Bhutan, emphasized the importance of regional connectivity, especially for landlocked nations. He highlighted the strategic role of India in enhancing cross-border logistics and trade facilitation for neighboring countries, promoting smoother cargo movement and regional economic integration.
Mr. Oleg Puzynin, representing CCTT (Coordinating Council on Trans-Siberian Transportation), focused on the India-Russia trade corridor and the broader Eurasian logistics landscape. He underlined the potential of multimodal routes and how railway and sea-based corridors can become key drivers of cost-effective and efficient trade.
Mr. John Martin, Chief Revenue Officer of Blychain Network brought in a tech-driven perspective, presenting how blockchain technology is streamlining logistics operations globally. He illustrated the power of transparent, tamper-proof systems in ensuring trust and efficiency in international supply chains.
Ms. Nora Dihel Senior Economist, The World Bank offered a macroeconomic view, discussing the need for policy reforms and digital integration to enhance trade competitiveness. She pointed to data-driven infrastructure investments and harmonized trade processes as key enablers for emerging economies.
Mr. Vishal P Mehta CEO, Rushabh Sealink and Logistic Pvt. Ltd. rounded off the session with an industry insider’s perspective, advocating for agile, tech-enabled freight forwarding. He emphasized collaboration between government, global agencies, and private players to make Indian logistics globally aligned and future-ready.
The session brought into focus how India is at the crossroads of global logistics evolution—bridging regional gaps, embracing digital innovation, and forging new trade partnerships.
Session 6: Building Resilience for Long-Term Sustenance

The final business session of the convention delivered powerful insights on how resilience is not just a reaction to disruption—but a design for the future.
Moderated by Mr. Anand Sheth Owner, CKB Group of Companies, the session brought together industry leaders who emphasized technology, collaboration, and mindset shifts as key to long-term sustainability.
Mr. Amit Maheshwari , CEO, Softlink Global , emphasized that technology is not just a tool but the foundation of modern logistics. He urged the industry to shift perspective—from seeing tech as an expense to viewing it as a long-term investment. “Let’s not react to disruption; let’s design resilience,” he stated.
Mr. Lenny Abrao , MD, Abrao Group spoke on continuous innovation as a driver of sustainable logistics. He stressed the importance of evolving with time while staying grounded in core values.
Mr. Nailesh Gandhi , MD, Express Global Logistics focused on collaboration and skill development, calling them the building blocks for future-ready logistics.
Mr. Edwin Jesudass GM, Head – Import, Export & Customs at Siemens highlighted the growing need for resilient supply chains in the face of global disruptions, and the integration of sustainability into logistics planning.
