CONCOR CMD Highlights Infrastructure Expansion and Green Logistics Push at CILT India Annual Conference
NEW DELHI: Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) Chairman and Managing Director Shri Sanjay Swarup addressed the Annual Conference of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) India, held during the MultiLogistix Expo 2025 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, on Thursday.

In his keynote remarks, Shri Swarup outlined CONCOR’s expanding infrastructure footprint and a suite of customer-centric initiatives aimed at strengthening India’s multimodal logistics capabilities.
He highlighted the company’s innovative solutions in bulk cargo movement, including the transportation of bulk cement through specially designed tank containers—an initiative that has enhanced efficiency and reduced handling challenges for shippers.
Underscoring CONCOR’s commitment to green logistics, Shri Swarup noted the deployment of LNG-powered trailers, the introduction of Electric Vehicles in operations, and the adoption of a mobile app designed to improve first- and last-mile services. These steps, he said, reflect CONCOR’s strategy to accelerate the shift toward cleaner and smarter logistics systems.
Shri Swarup also spoke about the company’s growing footprint in international logistics. CONCOR has already commenced cross-border cargo movement in its own containers to Sharjah and Dubai and plans to further expand these services to the Far East and new global markets.
Further, he announced several new services launched in collaboration with Indian Railways, including a Container Train Service with assured transit via Agra and Kanpur, a Door-to-Door Parcel Service, and the Integrated Logistics Hub at Sonik, which is expected to enhance multimodal connectivity for northern India.
Reiterating the organisation’s long-term vision, Shri Swarup said CONCOR remains committed to delivering sustainable, technology-driven and customer-focused logistics solutions that support India’s fast-growing supply chain ecosystem.
