DPA Kandla sets new benchmark in renewable energy logistics with record wind turbine blade shipment
GANDHIDHAM : Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, has achieved a historic milestone in the domain of renewable energy logistics by handling the highest-ever cargo volume (CBM) of wind turbine blades in a single shipment. The port successfully managed an impressive 1,67,675 CBM, comprising 153 wind turbine blades, marking a new benchmark in project cargo handling.
This landmark operation was facilitated with the arrival of the vessel MV KANG QI FU HUA, further reinforcing Kandla Port’s position as a preferred hub for handling oversized and critical cargo associated with India’s growing green energy sector.

The successful execution of this complex operation highlights the port’s advanced infrastructure, operational expertise, and seamless coordination among all stakeholders. Handling such large-scale, high-dimensional cargo requires meticulous planning, precision, and efficient logistics support—capabilities that DPA Kandla continues to demonstrate with excellence.
The port administration acknowledged the vital contributions of key partners involved in this achievement. Ace Global Logistics served as the Customs House Agent (CHA), Samundra Marine undertook stevedoring operations, and J M Baxi acted as the vessel agent, ensuring smooth coordination and execution at every stage.
This milestone not only underscores Kandla Port’s leadership in project cargo handling but also aligns with India’s commitment to expanding renewable energy capacity and promoting sustainable development. DPA remains dedicated to facilitating green logistics and strengthening its role as a critical enabler in the nation’s energy transition journey.
