KENYA : Bolloré Logistics South Africa sponsored the event, organised by Team France Export, Business France, French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) and Les Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France – Afrique du Sud.
After a 2-year absence, Bolloré Logistics was pleased to be a Gold sponsor of the forum which attracted a delegation of 100 French business leaders and 200 C-suite business leaders from Southern Africa. The forum, aimed at giving a new impetus to the economic and business relations between France and Southern Africa, took place at The Capital On The Park in Sandton, South Africa.
The event was organised for industry players, wishing to identify new business opportunities in the Southern African and French Market, or to strengthen already existing ties. Bolloré Logistics Managing Director, Hervé Perron, spoke on a panel titled ‘Invest in Southern Africa. Focus on Intra-Africa Trade and Regional Integration,’ and remarked that a different approach to border controls is required, to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics within Africa. He emphasised that it would take greater levels of cooperation between African countries to make cross-border trade cheaper, easier and faster.
“As a partner and sponsor of the event, the forum provided an excellent platform to stay abreast of recent industry trends coupled with thought-provoking discussions on amongst other topics, rebuilding the economy in a post-pandemic world, intra-Africa trade and regional integration, skills development, diversity and inclusion, finance and bankability of SADC projects, food security and diversification of the energy sector.”, said Hervé Perron.
