DUBAI : How can we enhance Dubai’s global competitiveness in trade and logistics and how can we enhance its multimodal trade capabilities? That was what the question His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group, and Chair of the World Logistics Passport (WLP) Steering Committee, discussed with other dignitaries at the Dubai Hub Partners Meeting .

Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem,Chairman & CEO of DP World,

The WLP is unlocking and enhancing routes that increase the trade of high-value commodities to Dubai, such as coffee, precious metals, and consumer electronics, and has contributed to Dubai and the UAE’s trade performance in these times of uncertainty.

As we look toward the future development of this initiative in Dubai, the WLP has set three objectives: activate trade routes that consolidate Dubai as a leading trade and logistics hub for high-value commodities, implement approaches that continue to strengthen Dubai’s multimodal trade, and enhance the digital experience of the WLP and provide improved partner integration.
