MUMBAI : Shri Abhishek Chaudhary, VP-Corporate Affair National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) & Director NICDC Logistics Data Services (NLDS) visited JNPA & NSICT/GT (DP World), according to a release.
NICDC Logistics Data Services team held an insightful session with Shri Sanjay Sethi, IAS, Chairman, JNPA– Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority. The outstanding performance of the port was highlighted, basis the #LDB Analytics Report along with future roadmap with #ULIP.
He met the NSICT, CEO, Shri Jibu K Itty and discussed operational efficiency & improvisations in Logistics infrastructure using #LDB & #ULIP.
It was heartening to witness the presence of senior authorities of the terminals Shri Jibu K Itty, CEO, NSICT and to receive valuable feedback on collaborations for NLDSL’s further contribution to port’s operational efficiencies.
The need for GPS based tracking system for the movement of trailers inside and around the port and verifying related documents through ULIP was one of the key initiatives discussed which shall further improve operational management of the port.
Also, for minimizing the congestion at terminal gates, NLDS proposed to implement a technology-driven system effectively managing empty movement of trailers. The representatives also discussed the importance of security and confidentiality of the data NLDS is receiving from the terminals for its LDB and ULIP projects. NLDSL agreed to work collaboratively with terminals on data security.
All the port terminals appreciated the game changer initiatives ULIP & LDB to strengthen EXIM supply chain.
Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal Pvt Ltd. (NSICT), India’s first private container terminal was set up in 1997 which has 600 meters (2,000 ft) quay length with two berths and a draft of 16.2 meters. It handled 736,719 TEUs of container volume in FY20-21.
Whereas,the second terminal, Nhava Sheva International Gateway Terminal (NSIGT) has a quay length of 330 m. It handled 765,234 TEUs of container volume in FY20-21.
