Pacific International Lines participated at the 19th China-ASEAN Expo

SINGAPORE : PIL, a strong supporter of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), is honored to participate at the 19th China-ASEAN Expo, which was successfully held from September 16 to 19, 2022 in Nanning, Guangxi, China.
 
Reinforcing the importance of strengthening business networks and regional connectivity, the theme for this year is “Sharing RCEP New Opportunities, Building a Version 3.0 China-ASEAN Free Trade Area”.
 
Mr SS Teo, Executive Chairman of Pacific International Lines, addressed attendees virtually during the opening, sharing that the industries of RCEP countries are highly complementary, which will help expand inter-regional trade cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region and improve level of security, stability and openness of the regional industrial chain and supply chain. He added that RCEP will become a key driving force for enhancing international economic and trade exchanges in the future.
 
With its mission of “Driving Connectivity”, PIL, alongside other Singapore delegates, showcased our global presence which included the investment in the Nanning International Logistics Park to promote the new transport corridor connecting to China’s western region.
 
Trade among RCEP countries has seen rapid growth in the last two years despite the pandemic and through the sharing of preferential policies among member countries, trade recovery and investment outlook are set to improve in the coming months.
