CMA CGM launches renewed INDAMEX Service to meet high demand between ISC-US East Coast

MARSEILLE : CMA CGM has announced the launch of a renewed INDAMEX service, designed to cater to the growing demand between the Indian Subcontinent and all major U.S. East Coast ports. The new service is set to enhance trade connectivity and support efficient supply chain management amid disruptions in major maritime routes.

The INDAMEX service will feature a round-trip rotation every 77 days via the Cape of Good Hope, covering the following ports: Port Qasim, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Charleston, and back to the Indian Subcontinent. This route is designed to ensure comprehensive coverage of key ports, facilitating robust trade links.

Key features of the renewed INDAMEX service include:

– Weekly Fixed Day Sailings: Starting August 15, 8,500 TEU vessels will depart on fixed days each week, providing reliable and consistent service from the Indian Subcontinent (ISC) to the U.S. East Coast (USEC). 

– Dedicated Terminals: The service will utilize CMA Terminals’ dedicated assets in India (Nhava Sheva) and the U.S. (New York). This includes dedicated berthing windows, ensuring berth on arrival and full priority 52 weeks a year.

– Maintained Capacity: CMA CGM will implement extraordinary measures to maintain capacity on this highly demanded route, ensuring uninterrupted service and efficient cargo handling.

The inaugural departure of the renewed INDAMEX service will be from Port Qasim, with the vessel MV APL SOUTHAMPTON.

“The implementation of this new service demonstrates CMA CGM’s ability to rapidly adapt its offerings to meet customer demand and support them in managing their supply chains in the context of disruptions to major maritime routes,” stated an official release.
