2nd Edition of Sourcex India 2024 concluded marking a significant milestone promoting manufacturing and exports: FIEO

NEW DELHI : The 2nd Edition of Sourcex India (Jan 17-19) 2024, concluded on Friday at Pragati Maidan, here, marking a significant milestone in Government of India’s efforts in not only promoting manufacturing and exports but also supporting the Indian business community on the global stage. The mega event in a big way helped in boosting Indian brands witnessing well over 100 buyers from 30+ countries from across the world. The 3-day Exhibition cum Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM), organised as a glorifying event enriched the Indian exhibitors/exporters on leveraging opportunities and maximising various trade agreements to propel their brands in the international market. About 150 Indian brands showcasing different kinds of Made in India goods and services, made their presence felt with both buyers and sellers showing keen interest in forging business alliances. 

Addressing the august gathering at the valedictory session of the event, Dr Ajay Sahai, DG & CEO, FIEO said that the event provided an opportunity to enhance, scale up and excel, besides the acceptance of the concept for Branded products and services for unit realisation. It also consolidated India’s position as a leading supplier of quality products globally with the country having the potential, resources, capacity and ecosystem to emerge as a major supplier and a key global export hub for the world. 

Dr Sahai reiterated that as India’s growth story remains intact, pushing manufacturing to grow to 25% of GDP is a key to establishing India as a developed economy by 2047 as envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. And last but not the least, right feedback of the event of such stature will further help in improving the quality and scale, said FIEO’s DG & CEO. He further added that the event portrayed immense potential for Indian brands, focussing on SMEs and served as an avenue to explore new partnerships enabling Indian companies to better understand the preferences of international buyers.

The valedictory session saw the felicitation of companies showcasing best displays in various categories besides supporting partner States, organisations and other stakeholders. The event also witnessed the launch of 3rd Edition of Sourcex India in February 2025 at New Delhi with the expectation of much bigger participation of 300+ Indian companies/exhibitors and buyers each.
