APM Terminals Pipavav offers Buffer Yard Facility

PIPAVAV : In response to the requirement from various exporters and their respective intermediaries, to offload their containers on forward looking multiple VIA’s whose gates have not yet been open; APM Terminals Pipavav is pleased to inform that effective 1st August 2021, exporter can directly or through their nominated intermediatory avail the service of a “Buffer Yard” at the port, it said in a Customer Advisory statement.

Through this exporters can offload their planned container in a secure and safe environment in the port before gating in the container for planned vessel voyage. The Buffer yard aims to facilitate exporters’ supply chain enabling continuous dispatch of their containers to APM Terminals Pipavav. Efficiency gained in the process would assist exporters save time, space, and money for their consignments.

• Fast transfer from buffer yard to CY – Buffer Yard is located at mere 1.5 Kms from CY yard

Consignees/Forwarders/Agents/Exporters can avail these services at nominal cost of USD 36/20’ or USD 48/40’ including 7 free storage days at buffer yard. This service is provided for dry containers only.
