IPPTA President congratulates Hon’ble Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways

NEW DELHI : On behalf of Indian Private Ports and Terminals Association (IPPTA), Shri Devki Nandan, President, IPPTA has sent a congratulatory letter dated 17 June 2024 addressed to Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, on becoming Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) for the second consecutive term.

In his letter, Shri Devki Nandan mentioned that Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, under his dynamic leadership, has propelled the country to be a key growth engine for the world economy. Our maritime sector has been a key pillar in our economy and now further ready to contribute to the rising success of our country, progressing towards ‘Viksit Bharat’ with the Maritime India Vision 2030 and Maritime Amrit Kal Vision: 2047.

Shri Devki Nandan further stated that we strongly believe that his leadership and strategic vision will further boost the growth in the maritime sector and we look forward to his kind guidance and support in achieving capacity building and enhancing efficiency of the India’s vibrant port sector, contributing to vision of making our country as a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and global maritime super-power.

Indian Private Ports and Terminals Association (IPPTA) was set up with a view to promote private sector participation in the development of port sector in the country. Many prominent national and international port operators are our members. The main objective of the Association is to partner and pro-actively work with the Government on port policy, port development, port connectivity, legislative reforms etc. that will make Indian ports globally competitive and regionally sought after.
