Not clear with privatisation; expect EOIs soon, says CONCOR CMD

CONCOR CMD V Kalyana Rao said there has been no clarity on privatisation yet but expect expressions of interest (EOIs) for the company to come anytime soon. Speaking in an interview to CNBC-TV18, he said, “I am not very clear with privatisation things, but we are expecting EOIs to come, the process is on.”

On dedicated freight corridor, Rama said the company is interested in western dedicated freight corridor (DFC) because eastern DFC has not much of container traffic. According to him, some trains have started on the western DFC already and once the DFC is extended to Palampur, by March 31, it will be a game-changer.

Talking about volumes, he said, “We are seeing an uptick in exports and imports also started flowing into India. If these things will continue and whatever the initiatives the government started, if the traction is there, then FY21-22 should be really good.”
