Gujarat CM sanctions Rs 245 crore for widening of 41 bridges in the state
GANDHINAGAR : To address the problem of traffic jams on narrow bridges, the Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Bhai Patel sanctioned Rs 245.30 crore for the widening of 41 existing bridges and structures that are narrower than the roads on 20 routes in the state.
The Roads and Buildings Department will now undertake the widening of these narrow bridges and structures to match the width of the roads.
There are a total of 41 bridges and structures in the state whose width is narrower than the adjacent roads, causing traffic congestion.
After becoming aware of this issue, the Chief Minister allocated Rs 245.30 crore for widening the narrow bridges and structures to alleviate traffic jams and ensure fast, safe transportation for the people
