Post Budget 2025 Reaction – Darshan Ghodawat, CEO & MD, AVA Global Logistics Pvt Ltd.
MUMBAI : Mr. Darshan Ghodawat, CEO & Managing Director, AVA Global Logistics PVT LTD.shares his views on Union Budget 2025-26.
“With the union budget estimates for the year 2025-26, India stands to gain significantly because there is a keen focus on the development of the infrastructure and logistics sector. This year, the budget has once again addressed long term economic development and global trade competitiveness of the country.
One of the most important highlights is the allocation of ₹1.5 lakh crores towards 50-year interest free loans to states which will enable them to undertake critical infrastructure projects that enhance economic development. This move aims to boost the metropolitan and rural infrastructural development, transportation, and logistics.
In attempt to address the issues brought about by urbanization, there is an introduction of urban sector reforms that focus on governance, land use, and planning. This will enable the creation of well-planned modern cities to support a growing population in a sustainable manner.
The integration of various modes of transportation in the country coupled with the expansion of the infrastructure development will create a more efficient supply chain. This is the central premise of the PM Gati Shakti initiative.
One major boost to infrastructure financing comes with the Urban Challenge Fund which amounts to ₹1 lakh crore. This fund will be contributing to a maximum of 25 percent of the expenses for viable urban projects, but in return the funding must derive from bonds, bank loans, or public-private partnerships (PPPs). This change is expected to incentivize the private sector to undertake urban projects on a large scale.“
