
Marsa Ocean Shipping aquires two new container vessels
DUBAI : Marsa Ocean Shipping, a Dubai-based feeder carrier, has expanded its fleet with the acquisition of two new container vessels, increasing its total number of ships to six. The newly acquired Marsa Ivy and Marsa Virgo have capacities of 1,200 TEUs and 1,100 TEUs, respectively. This expansion is set to bolster the company’s operational capabilities across the Red Sea, Asia, and the Mediterranean regions.
According to Marsa Ocean Shipping, which was established in mid-2022, this strategic fleet enhancement is aimed at improving the reliability, flexibility, and efficiency of its shipping solutions. “This strategic expansion enhances our ability to provide reliable, flexible, and efficient shipping solutions to our valued customers,” stated the company.
The carrier, known for its comprehensive shipping and related logistics services throughout the Middle East and Africa, has also ventured into airfreight with the launch of Marsa Express. This new service is designed to offer fast and reliable air shipping solutions for time-sensitive goods, ensuring expedited delivery across global markets.
