Piyush Goyal addresses the ‘Invest Karnataka 2025- Global Investors Meet’

BENGALURU : Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Shri Piyush Goyal felt delighted to address the ‘Invest Karnataka 2025- Global Investors Meet’ in Bengaluru and highlighted Karnataka’s significant role in the country’s development. Underscored the importance of collaboration and cooperation between the Centre and States to achieve key milestones as we march towards the collective goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Shri Goyal also spoke about the Modi government’s efforts and initiatives such as the Production-Linked Incentive scheme, which is benefiting sectors like MSMEs, startups, and manufacturing, thereby driving the country’s economic growth.

‘Viksit Bharat should be a collective commitment and a goal of all 1.4 billion people in this country. What will make this growth sustainable, inclusive, and unparalleled will be India’s youth population, ‘said Piyush Goyal on Wednesday. “Soon (we will) come up with policies to further promote manufacturing in toys and footwear so that we can become a global champion in these sectors in the next 20 years,” he said.

He said the government will bring policies to promote manufacturing in toys and footwear manufacturing. Additionally, he said the effort taken so far has resulted in reducing the import of toys by half and increasing exports by 3.5 times, what it used to be 5 years ago.

Meanwhile, there Goyal said that with the collaboration of state governments and the Central government, India will grow into a $30 trillion economy by 2047. The central government will extend its full support to Karnataka in this regard, Goyal assured. “India grows when the states grow. India prospers when the states prosper. This is the spirit of cooperative federalism driving our success.”
