J M BAXI GROUP’s initiative to support India’s Oxygen Cylinder demand
MUMBAI : While India is battling the resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the shortage of medical oxygen has turned into a major crisis. Countries, organisations, individuals, and governments & private firms are working day in and day out to meet the oxygen demand of hospitals in critically affected Indian states.
J M Baxi, a leading shipping service company based in India has purchased oxygen cylinders from Singapore. Out of a total 1,100 cylinders purchased by the Group, 600 are for Delhi, 250 are for Andhra Pradesh, and 250 are for Maharashtra.
“The total quantity of oxygen being flown into India is 7200 cubic meters. The cylinders are being transported to India by the Indian Navy and Indian Airforce,” J M Baxi Group informed. The special IAF aircraft with life-saving oxygen cylinders was scheduled to land in India at 10 pm (IST) on Wednesday according to the last report.
