ACAAI President meets Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India
NEW DELHI : Mr. C.K. Govil, President, Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI), and past President Mr. Vipin Vohra, Chairman, Continental Carriers, met with His Excellency Elchin Huseynli, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India on October 4. The aim of the meeting was to formally invite the ambassador to the ACAAI’s 48th Annual Convention which is scheduled to take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from December 5-8, 2024.
Mr. Govil also sought the ambassador’s assistance in engaging the Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan to encourage their participation in the convention. As a token of appreciation, Ms. Chandrima Govil, Daughter of C.K. Govil, presented a plant to His Excellency, further enhancing the diplomatic ties between the two nations.
The upcoming convention is anticipated to be a significant event, as Baku is renowned for its beautiful landscapes and excellent facilities for hosting such gatherings. Attendees can look forward to enriching experiences and networking opportunities at the Baku Marriott Hotel Boulevard, the designated venue for the event.
ACAAI is the premier recognised National Association representing the air cargo industry in India. Founded in 1970 with 16 members, ACAAI currently has a strength of almost 600 members. ACAAI has its Head Office at Mumbai with 8 Regional offices located at New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Kerala (Trivandrum & Cochin), Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. The association works closely with the government ministries, departments, airlines, airport operators, freight forwarders, custom brokers, bonded truckers and international associations such as IATA, FIATA, FAPAA on behalf of its members.
