ACAAI Western Region held a meeting to discuss key developments

MUMBAI : The Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI) Western Region held a meeting to discuss key developments within the Aircargo industry.

The ACAAI Western Region, Chaired by Mr. Rajen Bhatia, convened a meeting on February 28, 2025, at the Hotel Kohinoor Continental in Mumbai. This gathering featured a special address by Mr. Hardeep Batra, Commissioner of Customs for the Export Air Cargo Complex in Mumbai.

The meeting attracted a significant number of attendees and focused on key developments within the air cargo industry. Mr. Shailesh Sharma, Secretary, along with Mr. Farokh Hansotia, Treasurer, expressed their gratitude to the members for their valuable time and commitment.

The special address by Shri Hardeep Batra, the Commissioner of Customs – Export Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai was a very insightful session focused on the latest developments in the air cargo industry. Shri Batra touched upon various aspects some of which were the E-office which is functioning at the ACC, E-Bond initiative soon will be launched by customs which will facilitate the trade, he also emphasised that government is moving towards blockchain to integrate all the stakeholders. Shri Batra is monitoring the progress of the movement of the export documents / cargo on daily basis to see how the dwell time is reduced and the cargo moves on time.

The evening concluded with cocktails and dinner, offering ample networking opportunities with members, airlines, custodians and customs.
