Adani Logistics enhances multimodal capabilities with introduction of domestic Dwarf Containers at Virochannagar ICD

AHMEDABAD : Adani Logistics Ltd has announced the introduction of advanced domestic dwarf containers and the expansion of service offerings at its Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Virochannagar, reinforcing its commitment to efficient, sustainable, and integrated logistics solutions.

The newly introduced dwarf containers are specifically designed to enable higher payload capacity within standard rail movement constraints, making them particularly suitable for dense commodities and domestic cargo. This innovation is expected to significantly improve asset utilization while reducing overall logistics costs for customers.

As part of the expansion, the Virochannagar ICD has strengthened its multimodal infrastructure, enabling seamless integration between road and rail transport. The facility now supports streamlined aggregation of cargo, efficient handling, and faster turnaround times, facilitating reliable full rake operations across key domestic corridors.
