Allcargo Gati launches State-of-the-Art Logistics Hub in Bengaluru
HOBLI : Allcargo Gati Ltd formerly known as GATI, has unveiled a cutting-edge Surface Transhipment Centre and Distribution Warehouse (STCDW) in Mayasandra, Hobli, on the outskirts of Bengaluru, Karnataka. Positioned strategically just 5.5 km from NH 44 (Bengaluru-Hosur Highway) at the Tamil Nadu-Karnataka border, the STCDW spans 3.5 lakh sq. ft., featuring a Grade A warehouse of 1.5 lakh sq. ft. With the upcoming Hosur outer Ring Road at a proximity of 1.5 km, it offers enhanced accessibility.
The location’s strategic advantage, being close to the railway and international airport, significantly reduces transit time, facilitating swift product deliveries. This marks Gati’s fifth super hub, boasting 70 truck bays capable of managing over 500 vehicles daily. The Mayasandra STCDW can handle a daily throughput of 1600 tonnes and a monthly throughput of 40,000 tonnes, serving various industries, including automotive, apparel, heavy engineering, and retail.
Equipped with advanced warehousing technologies and inventory management systems, the Mayasandra STCDW enables businesses to track stock efficiently, streamline order fulfilment, and enhance overall operational efficiency. The facility aligns with green norms, incorporating eco-friendly measures like rainwater harvesting, solarisation, and alternative fuel-powered vehicles.
Additionally, it adheres to stringent safety protocols, featuring fire hydrants, alarms, CCTV surveillance, and round-the-clock security. The facility, staffed by 85 employees and 173 handlers, manages regional distributions and consolidates and dispatches long-haul loads for the rest of the country.
