BIFA’s National Conference returns after two decades: A landmark event for the UK’s logistics sector
LONDON : The British International Freight Association’s (BIFA) National Conference will take place on May 14-15, 2025, marking the first time in nearly two decades that this highly anticipated event will bring together BIFA’s entire membership community across the UK.
This two-day conference will serve as a dynamic platform to address the pressing issues facing the logistics sector, while offering opportunities to network with industry specialists and gain insights on the latest trends and developments.
Steve Parker, BIFA’s Director General says: “Our first National Conference for many years is shaping up to be an unmissable event for anyone in the logistics industry, with expert-led discussions and seminars covering a range of hot topics.”
These will include the opportunity for attendees to gain an in-depth understanding of the Community Service Provider landscape and explore the value it offers post-CDS and post-Brexit.
In a session titled: “What Does Trump Mean for Trade?” Delegates will be able to explore the impact of the US President’s policies on global trade, with insights from those directly involved in Washington DC.
Seminars focusing on Airfreight, Oceanfreight, Sustainability, and Customs will provide critical updates and prepare delegates for future developments in these key areas.
Attendees will also be among the first to learn about BIFA’s updated Standard Trading Conditions, which will be officially released later this year, allowing them to explain to the organisations for which they work how they can prepare in advance.
A must-attend session will see insurance experts attempt to settle the ongoing debate surrounding logistics insurance; whilst another on cybersecurity will deliver a deep dive into best practices for securing sensitive data, helping attendees to avoid the growing threat of hostile profiling.
In an associated exhibition zone, attendees will be able to meet BIFA associate member companies showcasing industry products and services designed to enhance the logistics sector.
Parker concludes: “This conference will provide valuable opportunities for professional development and is a vital event for those looking to stay ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving industry.
“I urge people to join us at BIFA’s National Conference for an opportunity to connect with key industry figures, gain practical insights, and ensure your business remains at the forefront of the logistics and freight sectors.”
The National Conference agenda is continually being updated and there is a dedicated area of the BIFA website where this can be reviewed.
