PUTEAUX ( FRANCE) : Bolloré Logistics has teamed up with Turkish Airlines to transport humanitarian aid equipment to Turkey to provide support and relief to the people hit by the earthquake that devastated the country on 6 February 2023.

This joint aid operation was initiated by Turkish Airlines with the support of Bolloré Logistics. The equivalent of 208 m3 of donations, i.e. almost 35 tonnes of goods, were donated last week by various associations working alongside the Turkish Embassy and the Turkish Consulate in France, in support of the earthquake victims.

The goods, consisting of first aid supplies, tents, generators, hygiene kits, vacuum cleaners, blankets, clothes and food… were received and processed by teams at the Roissy Hub between Friday 10 and Saturday 11 February 2023.

Given the emergency situation, the teams reacted extremely swiftly, ensuring that all logistical operations were completed without delay. This included securing the cargo, placing it on pallets, issuing the air waybill on behalf of Turkish Airlines, and handing it over to the WFS handling agent.

Seamless coordination between all parties involved meant that the donations could be shipped the very next day following their arrival at the Roissy Hub. A further consignment was sent on 15 February, and this will be followed by a number of similar operations in the next few days. Both Bolloré Logistics and Turkish Airlines remain on standby, ready to step in to assist with the sending of humanitarian relief to Turkey.
