CEVA Logistics supports Indonesia COVID-19 relief efforts, transporting oxygen concentrators

• CEVA Logistics joins Singapore Changi Airport community in humanitarian aid
• 14,000-kilogram first shipment of oxygen concentrators shipped from Los Angeles to Jakarta via Singapore

SINGAPORE :  CEVA Logistics is continuing to support the fight against the COVID-19 virus through the transport of oxygen concentrators from the U.S. to Indonesia via Singapore. As part of the broader Singapore Changi Airport community, CEVA is participating in the aid project organized by the Changi Airport Group.

The project’s first shipment of oxygen concentrators from Los Angeles weighed more than 14,000 kilograms and was delivered directly to the CEVA Logistics warehouse located within the Airport Logistics Park of Singapore. The shipment was further consolidated at the CEVA facility before leaving Singapore for Jakarta on Aug. 19.

With many Southeast Asian and Pacific countries affected by the highly transmissible Delta variant, CEVA Logistics is using its global network to connect the right medical supplies with those that need them. In total, 1,380 machines are being donated by the Changi Foundation together with more than 30 other airport partners, as well as individual airport employees.

Using global network, capabilities for local good

The outreach effort to transport the large quantity of oxygen concentrators is one more example of how CEVA Logistics has used its leading global network to support the movement of medical supplies needed in the fight against the virus. Early in the pandemic, the company organized an airlift of two flights per week to deliver several hundred million masks from China to France over the course of months.

In addition, CEVA was also appointed by General Motors (GM) in April 2020 to manage its entire ventilator production supply chain in support of the U.S. pandemic response. CEVA was responsible for delivering hundreds of parts to the GM Kokomo, Indiana, facility, settling up the entire supply chain of Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers in one week — a process that could normally take two months.
