CONCOR flags off its first ever overseas container service with in-house Bill of Lading issuance
NEW DELHI : In a significant milestone for India’s multimodal logistics landscape, Shri Sanjay Swarup, Chairman & Managing Director, CONCOR, formally launched the first Bill of Lading (BL) issued by Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) for export cargo carried in CONCOR’s own container, which has now sailed to the South East Asia region.
This achievement marks a series of firsts for the organisation:
First-ever overseas reefer movement by CONCOR using its own container
First Bill of Lading generated and issued directly by CONCOR
First international cargo movement by CONCOR to a South East Asian port
With this development, CONCOR has entered a new phase of integrated international logistics, expanding its role beyond inland transport and terminal operations to offering end-to-end export solutions.
The newly launched service is supported by CONCOR’s unified digital logistics platform, enabling:
Effortless online BL creation, reducing paperwork and processing time
End-to-end cargo visibility, enhancing transparency and customer confidence
Real-time tracking across the entire logistics chain
By issuing its own BL and operating its own maritime movement, CONCOR is positioning itself as a one-stop logistics partner, strengthening India’s export ecosystem.
Speaking at the launch, CMD Shri Sanjay Swarup highlighted that this initiative is part of CONCOR’s strategic vision of forward integration, leveraging its core competencies to provide exporters with seamless, technology-driven services “anytime, anywhere.”
The successful commencement of this service opens doors for CONCOR to scale up its international operations, expand routes in Asia and beyond, and support India’s growing global trade ambitions.
