CONCOR leadership meets Hon’ble MoS for Railways & Jal Shakti V. Somanna; highlights customer-centric logistics initiatives
NEW DELHI : The Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR), Shri Sanjay Swarup, along with Area Head (Southern Region), Mrs. G. Gayatri, called on the Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways & Jal Shakti, Shri V. Somanna, today to brief him on the Corporation’s ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing customer-centric, seamless end-to-end logistics solutions.
During the meeting, the CONCOR leadership apprised the Hon’ble Minister of key operational and strategic initiatives undertaken to strengthen rail-led logistics, improve multimodal connectivity, and enhance service efficiency for trade and industry. Discussions covered initiatives focused on digitalization, terminal infrastructure augmentation, first- and last-mile connectivity improvements, and customized logistics offerings designed to meet evolving customer requirements.
The CMD highlighted CONCOR’s continued efforts toward optimizing rail freight movement, expanding inland container depot (ICD) and container freight station (CFS) capabilities, and supporting India’s growing export-import and domestic cargo demand through reliable, cost-effective logistics solutions.
The Hon’ble Minister appreciated CONCOR’s role in strengthening the country’s logistics ecosystem and emphasized the importance of rail-based freight movement in achieving sustainable and efficient transportation growth.
