
CONCOR signs MoU with BPIPL to operate upcoming Container Terminal at Bhavnagar Port
NEW DELHI: The Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bhavnagar Port Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (BPIPL) to operate and maintain the upcoming container terminal at the northside of Bhavnagar Port in Gujarat. The agreement was formalized on September 4, 2025, in New Delhi.
The upcoming container terminal is expected to emerge as a key logistics hub, catering to the growing trade and transportation needs of Central Gujarat, the Dholera Industrial Belt, and even extending its services to customers in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Sanjay Swarup, Chairman and Managing Director of CONCOR, along with directors and senior officials from both CONCOR and BPIPL.
Speaking on the development, officials highlighted that this collaboration marks a significant milestone in enhancing multimodal connectivity and delivering integrated end-to-end logistics solutions for the trade. The container terminal is expected to streamline cargo movement, reduce transit time, and improve supply chain efficiency for industries operating in Gujarat and beyond.
With this strategic partnership, CONCOR aims to strengthen its presence in western India and support the government’s vision of boosting port-led economic growth under the Sagarmala Programme.
