CONCOR takes initiative to boost Exports of India
NEW DELHI : As a further step towards ensuring sufficient availability of empty containers to the trade to cater their export commitments and mitigate the imbalance of import-export in trade, Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) is pleased to introduce the following volume-based rebate on rail freight for repositioning of empty containers from various Gateway Ports/Portside CFSs to various hinterland terminals w.e.f. 01.09.2021 to 31.03.2022:
a) The existing scheme of repositioning of empty containers from various Gateway Ports to hinterland terminals with a rebate of 50% on rail freight will continue till 31.03.2022. The scheme has now been extended for repositioning of empty containers from various portside CONCOR CFSs to other ICDs also for export purpose.
b) The shipping lines offering more than 15,000 TEUs of empty containers per month under the scheme will be given a rebate of 100% on the rail freight.
c) The shipping lines offering more than 10,000 TEUs upto 15,000 TEUs of empty containers per month under the scheme will be given a rebate of 75% on the rail freight.
This would facilitate in availability of containers, boosting exports and reducing logistic cost for all stakeholders.
