MUNDRA : Mundra Customs has recently stopped its Custom Facilitation Centre (CFC) for cargo clearance and instead deployed a Tax Assistant to manage related tasks manually, according to a local media Report.
This change has caused disruptions in the maintenance of critical systems, leading to delays in customs processing. Customs Brokers and EXIM stakeholders are facing daily hurdles due to these operational changes, which are reportedly slowing down cargo assessment and increasing costs related to detention and demurrage.
Trade representatives are calling for urgent corrective measures to restore smooth and efficient operations at the busy port.
