Dismantling of old RMQCs taking place at JNPT Shallow Water Berth

Share This News Story:

As per a Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) Trade Notice dated February 1, 2021, JNPT has started on site dismantling work of old RMQCs 10, 11 and 12 at Shallow Water Berth (SWB) w.e.f. January 27, 2021. The dismantling work is expected to take around 45 days. During the dismantling work, vessels will be berthed only at one berth i.e. SWB-03.

Also, during hot work, no liquid cargo vessels can be berthed at SWB-03. JNPT will take all necessary steps to accommodate all the liquid cargo vessels in transit and destined to the port. However, there may be some delays in berthing of liquid cargo vessels as all the vessels have to be accommodated at BPCL Liquid Cargo Terminal.

The notice requested all to take note of this and plan liquid cargo vessels accordingly during the period of dismantling of cranes, said a communiqué.
