LONDON: In a landmark celebration of cricket’s heritage, DP World, a global logistics leader and official partner of the ICC, transported rare memorabilia from the Don Bradman Museum in Adelaide, Australia, to the Home of Cricket, Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, a round-trip journey of nearly 20,000 miles (32,000 kilometres).

The showcase was unveiled during the ICC World Test Championship Final between Australia and South Africa, giving thousands of fans up-close access to some of cricket’s most treasured artefacts, including personal items and memorabilia from the legendary Sir Donald Bradman.

Daniel Van Otterdijk, Group Chief Communications Officer at DP World said, “This was more than a logistics challenge, it was about bringing cricket’s timeless stories closer to fans. We’re proud to have helped share the legacy of Sir Donald Bradman with audiences who might never see these treasures in person.”

The items were handled using specialised packaging, transit protocols and the utmost care through DP World’s global logistics network to ensure this priceless cargo reached Lords securely and in pristine condition.

Corydon Unwin, Curator at The Bradman Collection commented, “Some of our collection is very fragile and others are temperature controlled, all requiring special care while being moved across the globe. Partnering with a logistics giant, such as DP World, brought confidence that cricket history was expertly preserved during transit for fans from around the world to enjoy.”

This logistics journey highlights DP World’s commitment to making cricket more accessible and engaging, not just through efficient movement of equipment and assets, but by creating meaningful moments that connect audiences to the sport’s heritage.

As the global logistics partner of the ICC, DP World continues to play a key role in supporting cricket’s growth and enriching fan’s experiences around the world.
