Gratitude Ceremony marks grand conclusion of India Maritime Week 2025

NEW DELHI : The Gratitude Ceremony brought the curtains down on India Maritime Week 2025, celebrating a remarkable week of maritime excellence, innovation, and collaboration. The event also featured the Swachchta Awards, recognising outstanding contributions towards cleanliness, sustainability, and environmental stewardship within the maritime ecosystem.

The ceremony was graced by Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, who commended the industry’s collective efforts in driving India’s maritime growth and aligning with the vision of ‘Amrit Kaal’. He highlighted the role of public and private stakeholders in strengthening India’s position as a global maritime power.

Also present were Shri Vijay Kumar (IAS), Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), and senior officials of the Ministry, who joined in acknowledging the contributions of ports, shipping lines, maritime organisations, and allied agencies that made India Maritime Week 2025 a resounding success.

The event served as a moment of reflection and appreciation — reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to sustainable port-led development, innovation-driven growth, and collective progress towards a cleaner, greener, and globally competitive maritime future.
