NEW DELHI: In a significant step towards advancing sustainable and smart logistics, Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has commenced the trial deployment of Electric Vehicles (EVs) at its flagship Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Dadri. The initiative is aimed at reducing carbon emissions and promoting eco-friendly freight movement across the supply chain.

Under the trial, EVs will be used for transportation between factory locations and MMLP Dadri, while double-stack container trains will ensure seamless cargo movement from Dadri to gateway ports. This integrated approach is designed to enhance operational efficiency, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and accelerate the transition to green logistics solutions.

Highlighting the strategic significance of the move, Shri Sanjay Swarup, CMD, CONCOR, stated: “The integration of Electric Vehicles at MMLP Dadri marks a defining step towards a cleaner, smarter supply chain — from the factory gate to the gateway port. CONCOR remains committed to promoting sustainable multimodal logistics while leveraging technology-driven solutions for the future.”

CONCOR has indicated that EV deployment will be scaled up soon after successful trials, aligning with the company’s long-term vision to lead India’s green logistics transformation. The initiative is part of CONCOR’s broader strategy to integrate smart mobility solutions across its network of multimodal hubs, enabling cost-efficient, environment-friendly, and seamless cargo movement.

With India’s logistics sector rapidly evolving, CONCOR’s latest step at MMLP Dadri underscores its role as a frontrunner in driving the green shift and supporting the nation’s sustainable growth agenda.
