GTI welcomes ONE’s “WIN” service, strengthening India-US trade route

MUMBAI : APM Terminals Mumbai (Gateway Terminals India – GTI) has welcomed the maiden call of the new Ocean Network Express (ONE) “WIN” service, which connects India’s West Coast with the US East Coast. This significant development marks a pivotal moment in bolstering trade relations between the two regions and enhancing global connectivity at Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Nhava Sheva.

The maiden vessel, M.V. ONE MODERN, made its grand entrance at GTI on 12 May, 2024, signaling the commencement of yet another promising partnership between APM Terminals and Ocean Network Express (ONE). The terminal performed 2075 moves (3492 TEUs) in 19 hours and the vessel sailed out early morning on 13 May 2024.

The WIN service commences its journey from Karachi, makes a stopover at Hazira before calling at GTI, Nhava Sheva. The vessel will exit India from Mundra for a 28-day voyage to US East Coast calling at New York, Savannah, Jacksonville and Charleston. After completing is US East Coast run, the service will embark on it return voyage to the Indian Subcontinent from Norfolk.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, ONE planned to cover the vessel with their trademark magenta containers before her exit from India. GTI played its part and helped load most bays with magenta-coloured boxes while the remaining will be covered in Mundra.
