Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited gets environmental clearance for new ethanol plant in West Bengal
AHMEDABAD : Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited (GAEL) has received Environmental Clearance (EC) from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of India for setting up a 180 KLPD Greenfield Grain-Based Extra Neutral Alcohol and Ethanol Plant in Malda, West Bengal. The plant will be established adjacent to the existing Maize Processing Unit and will focus on the production of alcohol for the food and pharmaceutical industries. The plant is subject to approvals from the State Pollution Control Board.
The company has informed exchanges, this will diversify the company’s revenue streams by enhancing its market presence and expanding its client base for long-term growth.
The estimated investment for the project is approximately INR 180 Crores, or such other amount as may be amended by the Board of Directors from time to time.
GAEL is principally involved in the manufacturing of corn starch derivatives, soya derivatives, feed ingredients, cotton yarn, and edible oils. Since its incorporation in 1991, GAEL strives to serve the food, pharmaceutical, feed and many other industries with a long term growth strategy in the Agro-Processing sector.
