
Gujarat Maritime University at the Forefront of Port-Led Development Dialogue
VADODARA : Gujarat Maritime University proudly participated in a Collaborative Workshop on Port-Led Regional Development hosted by Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Vadodara.
The workshop brought together leaders from industry and academia to deliberate on the economic, social, political, and governance dimensions of port-led development in India.


Prof. G Raghuram, Professor Emeritus at GMU, delivered a thought-provoking address on the growth trajectory of Indian ports, emphasizing the transformative role of infrastructure and public-private partnerships (PPP).
GMU was further represented on the expert panel by Dr. Dharmesh Raval , Director, School of Maritime Management, and Prof. Mukesh Parikh , Adjunct Professor, who shared insights on policy frameworks and environmental concerns shaping port-led progress.

This workshop is part of an ongoing collaborative research initiative on Port-Led Development with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Indian Maritime University, CEPT University, and Adani University, aimed at generating impactful research through a series of academic workshops followed by conference.
