CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), has delivered a 210,000 dwt LNG dual-fuel bulk carrier, HL Hope, to H-Line Shipping. The HL Hope reportedly has a primary engine, generator, and boiler that run on LNG as part of its dual-fuel propulsion system. Two IMO Type C LNG tanks, each having a capacity of three thousand cubic metres (cbm), allow for the effective storage and use of liquefied natural gas on board.

The LNG system is supported by HL Hope’s high- and low-pressure pumps, vaporisation heaters, high- and low-pressure buffer tanks, and BOG (Boil-Off Gas) recondensation system.

Additionally, it has dual classification from both DNV and KR. Also, the Marshall Islands flagged vessel is the second of its kind, after HL Future; the third, HL Trust, will be delivered shortly.
