HMM earns EcoVadis Platinum rating for second year

SEOUL : HMM announced that it has been awarded a Platinum rating by EcoVadis for the second consecutive year, placing the company among the top 1% of all evaluated companies worldwide for its sustainability performance.

EcoVadis evaluates over 100,000 companies annually across four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The Platinum rating, the highest distinction, is given to companies recognized as reliable and responsible partners in global supply chains. The rating is widely used by global companies as a key standard for supply chain management and partner selection.

An HMM official said, “This year, we not only maintained strong performance in environmental practices but also received higher scores in Labor & Human Rights and Ethics. Key initiatives such as strengthening board diversity and enhancing supply chain due diligence contributed to this achievement.”

This year, HMM was also named the top global shipping company in ESG performance by Sustainalytics for the second year in a row, further validating its continued leadership in sustainable management.
