
IMU’s Chennai Campus all set for Estuary’25-National-level Inter Collegiate Management Fest
CHENNAI : Indian Maritime University (IMU), Chennai Campus, known for consistently producing stellar maritime professionals, is gearing up for a two-day national-level intercollegiate management fest featuring expert speakers and interactive sessions on logistics, maritime and air cargo industries.
The stage is set for Estuary’25, a highly anticipated national-level intercollegiate fest, hosted by the Indian Maritime University, Chennai Campus, on March 27 and 28, 2025. With its focus on global supply chains, air cargo and maritime logistics, Estuary’25 is set to bring together industry leaders, students and professionals for two days of insightful discussions and networking. Moreover, it provides an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their talents.




Event Highlights
The grand opening will be on March 27 at 0930 hours, with Mr Neeraj Kumar, Director, International Regulations and Legal Affairs, DGCA inaugurating the event. Dr Malini V. Shankar, IAS (Retd.), Vice Chancellor of Indian Maritime University, will preside over the ceremony, along with RAdm (Dr) P. J. Rangachari (Retd.), Director of IMU Chennai Campus. Ms Tulsi Mirchandaney , Managing Director (Retd.) of Blue Dart Aviation Ltd., will deliver the keynote address, sharing valuable insights from her years of leadership.
Attendees can look forward to an engaging panel discussion on “Optimising Global Supply Chains: The Essential Role of Air Cargo in Modern Logistics” at 1130 hours. The session will be moderated by Mr Jayaraman Krishnan, Partner at S. Natesa Iyer Logistics LLP, Chennai. The panel will feature esteemed industry leaders, including Mr Keku Bomi Gazder, MD & CEO of Aviapro Logistics Services Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi; Mr Rahul Nandy, GM (Cargo) at AAICLAS, Chennai International Airport; Mr P. Balasubramanian, Founder & CEO of ACCIS, Chennai; and Ms Chaitaly Mehta, Director of EKF Global Logistics Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai. The session will also include an interactive Q&A segment, providing the participants from various colleges and the industry with the opportunity to engage directly with the panelists and probe deeper into the critical role of air cargo in the global supply chain. One may wonder why a symposium about air cargo is being held at a maritime university. As the world’s economies continue to grow, trade increases, and the interconnected nature of global logistics increases, the need for efficient and effective transportation of goods has never been more critical. Air cargo plays a vital role in this ecosystem, and its intersection with maritime trade is more significant than ever.

The Grand Finale
The festival will culminate in a grand closing ceremony on March 28, during which winners of various competitions will receive attractive cash prizes. The Chief Guest, Mr C. K. Govil, President of All India Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI), will present these awards. Dr Rajoo Balaji, Pro Vice Chancellor of IMU will preside over the prize distribution in the presence of Mr K. Saravanan, Registrar of IMU.
