India will emerge as an Innovation Hub in global supply chain with its growing MSME, rise of youth & women leaders and improved infrastructure

MUMBAI : Blue Ocean Corporation’s flagship event, the International Procurement and Supply Chain Conference (IPSC), 2024 was recently held here, where Chief Guest Mr. Sourav Ganguly, Chairman of the ICC Cricket Committee and Former President of the BCCI, shared his thoughts on “From the Pitch to the Boardroom: Aligning Leadership Strategies for High Performance”. The theme for this year’s conference was ‘India Tomorrow: Economic Supremacy through Supply Chain Transformation”.

The supply chain industry is valued at $320 billion, and spells significant growth opportunities for India if optimised supply chains and efficient procurement practices can be harnessed. The IPSC aims to capitalise on these very prospects by bringing together the industry’s very best global thought leaders, innovators and investors.

Remarking on the potential of the conference, Blue Ocean Corporation Group CEO Dr. Sathya Menon said, “The IPSC proved pivotal in positioning India as a world leader in economic innovation driving a comprehensive transformation in the supply chain sector. The panel discussion line-up inspired thought provoking speeches with topics ranging from the globalisation of Indian SMEs to women as change leaders in the logistics industry.

Awardees were the following –

Awards were presented at the IPSC Awards 2024 Ceremony to recognize the achievements of leaders and pioneers driving advancements in supply chain and procurement practices in India and globally. There were seven corporate award categories and one individual award category.

1.  Reliance Retail Company won the Award for Excellence in Sustainable Services.

Mr. Rachit Gupta (Head – Central Supply Chain (Consumer Products) & Head Network Planning) at Reliance Retail received the award.

2. V-Trans (India) won the Award for Excellence in Logistics.

Mr. Mahendra Shah, (CMD, V-Trans) and Mr. Rajeev Bhattacharya (Vice President- Strategy and Projects, V-Trans India) received the award.

3. AGC Worldwide won the Award in Excellence in Pharma Supply Chain.

Mr. Nikunj Desai (Head – Global Supply Chain, AGC Worldwide) received the award.

4. Henkel won the Award for Excellence in Circular Supply Chain.

Mr. Ramit Mahajan (Head – Customer Experience Supply Chain IMEA, Henkel) received the award.

5. Eveready Industries India won the Award for Excellence in Procurement.

Ms. Rekha Bhagwat (West Regional HR Head) from Eveready Industries India received the award.

6. Maritime SheEO won the Award for Women in Shipping and Maritime Logistics.

Ms. Sanjam Sahi Gupta (Director, Maritime SheEO) received the award.

7. Fab India won the Award for the Excellence in Community based Supply Chain.

Mr. Nitin Joshi (Head of Warehousing & Logistics, Fab India) received the award.

8. Krishnan Subramaniam (Vice Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, UK and Strategic Advisor to Transworld Group of Companies, UAE.) won the Award for Outstanding Leader.
