Indian Railways floats Rs. 85 crore tender for broad-gauge to Amreli
AMRELI : The Railways department has floated a tender for Rs. 85 crore civil works to lay a broad-gauge railway line connecting Khijadiya to Amreli.
The project encompasses various construction activities, including the development of a passenger platform, earthwork, blacktopping, trolley refuges, construction of bridges, pitching, two walls, floor protection, circulating area construction, railway under bridge, level crossing gate, level crossing road construction, laying of broad-gauge mainline and connections, point and crossing, loop lines, track tamping, LWR destressing, goods transport, stone ballast stacking, station building, and other office constructions, among others.
Bidding for this tender is set to commence from December 8. Additionally, the tender for converting the main railway line to broad gauge will also be floated soon, as stated by local Lok Sabha member Naranbhai Kachhadia.
