IWAI hosts Stakeholders’ Interaction in Gujarat

SURAT : Inland Waterways Authority of India under Ministry of Port, Shipping and Waterways organised a Stakeholders’ Meet on 27th May in Surat to discuss the development of National Waterways in the state of Gujarat. The Interaction was headed by IWAI Chairman Mr. Vijay Kumar, IAS along with other officials of IWAI.

The Meeting concluded with fruitful discussions on ways to develop National Waterways in the state.

IWAI Chairman Mr. Vijaykumar, IAS along with other IWAI officials visited Dumas in South Gujarat for identifying the location of jetty needed for Cruise Tourism in NW 100 – Tapi River. He also visited AMNS port in Gujarat’s Surat & also inspected RiverTapi – NW 100. AMNS Port handles 80-85% of the total cargo moved on National Waterways 100
