J M Baxi Ports & Logistics announces Capt. Alpesh Abhay Sharma as COO-Container Business

MUMBAI : J M Baxi Ports & Logistics is pleased to announce the appointment of Capt. Alpesh Abhay Sharma as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Container Business.

Capt. Alpesh Sharma joins J M Baxi Ports & Logistics after nearly 13 years with DP World, where he held multiple key roles across India and Southeast Asia. His impressive portfolio includes positions such as CEO for NSICT, CEO for LCIT Terminals in Thailand, CEO for Thailand, and VP Commercial (Ports and Terminals) for South East Asia. He has also served on various boards in DP World Subcon and DP World APAC. His extensive background includes leadership positions at Maersk Line (India) and OOCL (India) as Country Head for Operations.

His profound understanding of container terminal operations and the commercial landscape will be instrumental in driving our growth and creating opportunities for our business.

In his role, Alpesh will report directly to Mr. Dhruv Kotak, Group Managing Director and will work closely with our teams to enhance our operations and drive revenue growth. He will assume overall responsibility for our container business within J M Baxi Ports & Logistics, overseeing Sales and Operations efficiency of container terminals of the business, including ICD, CFS, and Rail. His leadership will be instrumental in steering our strategic initiatives and ensuring we remain at the forefront of industry innovation.
