JBS Academy delegation consisting of 22 students visited Hazira Port

AHMEDABAD : As part of field visit to gain practical knowledge of Port operations and have first-hand experience of cargo handling 22 students of different training programmes of JBS Academy Private Limited visited Hazira Port on 16^th February 2024.

The students on the visit experienced live operations such as loading and unloading from the vessel, break bulk liquid cargo handling, warehouse operations, control room activity and packaging of food products.

The port authorities explained in detail the whole process of loading and unloading of containers from ship. How and where the containers are stuffed. Hazira Port has facility which can cater to loading and unloading of six ships simultaneously.

Students also learned about the control process of handling of 229 chemicals tanks from a centralised location.  

The delegates also had the opportunity to visit the oil production facility of Adani Wilmar wherein they gained first-hand knowledge of oil refining, packing and other related matters.
