Kandla International Container Terminal Crosses Historic 10 MMT Milestone in FY 2025–26

GANDHIDHAM: In a landmark achievement for India’s maritime sector, Kandla International Container Terminal (KICT) has scripted history by handling 10 Million Metric Tonnes (MMT) of cargo in a single financial year for the very first time.

As of 24th February, the terminal recorded an impressive throughput of 10,047,358 metric tonnes, decisively surpassing its previous highest annual performance of 8,663,243 metric tonnes achieved in FY 2021–22. The milestone underscores KICT’s steady growth trajectory and its expanding role in strengthening India’s trade and logistics ecosystem.

The achievement reflects not only enhanced cargo volumes but also operational excellence, seamless coordination, and the collective commitment of stakeholders across the maritime value chain.
