Kerala allocates ₹1000 cr for Vizhinjam Development Zone land acquisition
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : The Kerala government is moving ahead with plans to establish the ‘Vizhinjam Development Zone‘ to unlock the potential of Vizhinjam Port. As part of the initial steps, the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB), in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan.
In the meeting the minister added that the Govt. has decided to allocate Rs 1000 crore for land acquisition. The land will be acquired for the Vizhinjam-Kollam-Punalur Economic and Industrial Development Corridor, a project expected to be completed within the next two years.
