MUMBAI : Together with other esteemed speakers from India and the Netherlands, Mr. Jakob Friis Sorensen, Managing Director of APM Terminals Pipavav, addressed the audience and participated in the Panel Discussion for the Seminar on Ports Digitization held recently.
The seminar, organised by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Mumbai emphasised the importance of enhancing digital solutions for operational & logistical efficiency within the maritime sector. Speakers discussed the acceleration of digitization in India and the plans to intensify development in the maritime sector, strengthening the existing partnership between the two countries.
With considerable expertise in the maritime sector, Mr Frijs Sorensen accentuated the importance of digital transformation as an absolute requisite and no longer an option. “We believe that the knowledge you have shared with the industry members will aid in fostering digital optimization permeating all elements of Supply Chain,” said the organizer, Kunal Vora, responsible for Economic Affairs at the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
India and the Netherlands foster a strong political and economic relationship. As outward looking countries, the maritime sector has always played pivotal role in both countries.
