MSC announces new Service to connect India with West Mediterranean
GENEVA : MSC has announced the addition of a new India – West Med shipping service from mid-December, which is expected to open a new trade corridor between Indian Subcontinent and Western Mediterranean.
The Swiss/Italian container carrier MSC has announced the addition of a new India – West Med shipping service from mid-December, which is expected to open a new trade corridor between the key markets of the Indian Subcontinent and Western Mediterranean.
The first sailing was planned for 19 December from Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi with the 4,800 TEU MSC Shanghai.
The service rotation includes the ports of Jebel Ali (Dubai), Mundra (Gujarat), Nhava Sheva (India), Djibouti, Gioia Tauro (Italy), Genoa (Italy), Barcelona (Spain), Valencia (Spain), Salerno (Italy), Marsaxlokk (Malta), King Abdullah (Saudi Arabia) and Jeddah Islamic Port (Saudi Arabia).
The India – West Med service can link Mundra to Genoa within 19 days and Nhava Sheva to Barcelona within 16 days.
