MSC enhances its Asia to USA East Coast Network

GENEVA ; As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance service reliability and schedule stability, MSC has reviewed its Empire, Amberjack and Emerald services on our Asia to USA East Coast network.

Please find below the upcoming service changes and their associated operational benefits:

  • Empire Service
o Qingdao will be removed from the rotation.
o Norfolk and Port Everglades will replace Jacksonville and Miami in the rotation.
o By adjusting the port sequence, the service will be less exposed to port congestion risks, allowing for improved schedule reliability and more consistent on-time arrivals.
  • Amberjack Service
o Qingdao will be added in the rotation as first POL, before Ningbo and Shanghai and Busan.
o Yantian and Xiamen will be removed from the rotation.
o The Norfolk call will be replaced by Jacksonville as last POD in the USA.
o This will allow us to offer improved transit times compared to the previous routing, while optimizing port coverage within a more stable network structure.
  • Emerald Service
o Kaohsiung call will be replaced by Xiamen, as last POL in Asia.
o This change will provide Xiamen with a direct service to Charleston, Savannah and New York.

The updated service maps can be found below.
